On October 3, 2016, the Life_WINDRO project started, based on the priority Mitigation of climate change and with the reference LIFE15 CCM / ES / 000040. The main objective of the project is the production of fresh water by mechanical means taking advantage of wind energy from the wind. On 1 October, the European project Life Windro (LIFE15 CCM / ES / 000040) was launched, which is part of the framework of the 'climate change' framework. The objective of the project is the realization of a prototype (pilot) installation for the desalination of water by reverse osmosis, in particular a mechanical transmission system integrated by a wind turbine for the desalination and purification of the water through reverse osmosis.
