Launch meeting
On Tuesday 18 October 2016 took place in Madrid, at the headquarters of CIEMAT meeting to launch the project LIFE 15 CCM / ES / 000040: Mechanical Transmission System Integrated Into A Wind Turbine For Water Desalination Reverse Osmosis By And Depuration.
The project, which has a total budget of 1,215,619 € and is financed in a 59.96% by the EU, aims to develop a prototype installation ( "pilot") for water desalination by reverse osmosis.
The innovation of this facility is its ability to work self-sufficiently, using only the mechanical energy generated by a wind turbine adapted to transmit said mechanical pumps high-pressure reverse osmosis system power directly.
The meeting took place at the premises of the Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT) located in Av. Complutense in Madrid and was attended by various members of the consortium partners. On the one hand the coordinating partner S.A. Water Generation (GASA) and other Development Partners Society of Agricultural Castellonense, S.A. (FACSA), ADEPRO Engineering S.L. (ADEPRO), University of Granada (UGR), URBITAS S.L. and of course the host partner CIEMAT.
